Role Call: The following members were present:

Call to Order: The meeting was called to order at 6:30 pm.
 
Secretary’s Report: Not in attendance
Treasurer’s Report: Not in attendance
 
President’s Report:   President Mary Nyhan reported on the Laconia Little League checking and  Laconia Little League money market accounts. 
 
Executive Committee: The following board members have agreed to be on the executive committee as chosen by the President: Bill Salta, Jeff McGarry, Eric Nelson and Ron O’Connor, Jr. Jeff Stone will serve as the ex-officio. 
 
2010 Calendar Dates Approval: President Mary Nyhan presented the 2010 key dates for Laconia Little League and all dates were approved by the Board.   Key dates include;
 
Registration Dates are the first and second Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays in February 2010 at the Community Center (except no registration night on February 16). Times are 6-8 on the evenings and 8-12 on Saturdays. 
 
Baseball and Softball Clinic dates have been set up and will take place at Laconia High School gymnasium. The dates are each Saturday in January, February and March 2010 from 3:30pm to 8:00pm.   The only exceptions are the days of tryouts, which are listed below.
 
Baseball tryout dates are: Saturday March 6, Sunday March 7, 2010 from 5:00pm to 7:00pm   8 year olds may tryout for Baseball on Sunday March 14 from 6:00pm to 8:00pm.
 
Softball tryout dates are: Saturday March 13 and Sunday March 14, 2010 from 3:00pm to 4:30pm at the Laconia High School gymnasium.
 
Mandatory Coaches and Managers meetings will be held on March 27, 2010 and March 28, 2010. This year we may divide the younger group Managers and Coaches on one day and the Minor/Major Managers and Coaches on the second day. More information to follow.
 
Opening Day is set for April 24, 2010 which is the first Saturday of April vacation. 
 
Picture Day will take place on May 10 and May 11. Mary will check with photographer.
 
League Picnic is scheduled for June 19, 2010.
 
Equipment: Division Coordinators will forward a list of equipment needs to Jeff Stone who will submit the order to Piche’s this winter. We know we need first aid kits and balls for each program. We need to check with Belmont Baseball to see if we owe them any Softballs, which we believe to be already squared away. 
 
2010 Rule Changes: President Mary Nyhan went over the general rule changes for Little League for the 2010 Season. It was also noted that for the 2010 Season, the 9’s & 10’s will be going to regionals this year.
 
Old Business:   Granite benches; Cost for the benches is $450 to $495, and the Board was presented color choices of Autumn Pink & Black Diamond. The Board chose Autumn Pink. The Board was also presented the writing to be on the face of the bench or the top of the seat. The Board chose the face of the bench for the writing.
 
Memory Wall; Jack Batchelder and Julie Westcott are working on the project.   Tim Westcott is on a job and will assist in building the wall once that job is completed.
 
Scoreboard; Daniels Electric did electrical work for the Scoreboard, all at no charge. Gilford Well assisted in burying the new electrical, all at no charge.   Dave Plourde and Gilbert Block coordinated the angle iron and paint for the Scoreboard, all at no charge. The Irwin Zone painted the angle iron and the Scoreboard poles at Colby Field, at no charge.  The Scoreboard will be installed on November 11, 2009 at 1:00pm, with the assistance of Bonnette, Page and Stone.
 
New Business:  Registration fees were discussed, along with the online registration. Registration fees were debated heavily and the Board decided and voted on the following fee structure; $40 for single and $65 for multiple children, along with the 10 calendars per child at $5 each. After 2/21/2010, the Registration fee will be $40 fee and $50 calendar fee for each child.   Online Registration was discussed by Webmaster Ron O’Connor, Jr. Ron is setting up a mock registration form for Board Members to try their hand on. It was decided that we would open up online registration, but still have members print forms and come to one of the registration nights to pay in person and collect their calendars. An option to pay the entire amount online someday was also discussed for the future.  
 
Calendar Raffle; Books of 10 calendars, bound and numbered, in light blue will be ordered by Dave Plourde. Dave will order 500 packs of 10 from Winnisquam Printing.
 
For next meeting: fundraising calendars and readying for registration.
